Mac 4 Breakfast is a native macOS menu bar app that replaces macOS's minimal battery indicator with a full battery health dashboard. It's built for anyone who wants to understand and protect their MacBook's battery over time, rather than just glancing at a percentage icon.
The app shows exact battery health, cycle count, capacity, and live charging voltage and wattage, along with a true time-remaining estimate that Apple removed from macOS years ago. Smart Alerts drop from the notch to warn about predictive low battery, overheating (naming the app responsible), and to nudge you to unplug once you hit your target charge level. It also includes a Sleep Drain Detective that reports what drained your battery overnight, an Apps housekeeping view showing real energy use per open app, tracking for every Apple device's battery (iPhone, iPad, AirPods, Watch), a Keep Awake mode for running with the lid closed, and a shareable Battery Report Card exportable as PNG, PDF, CSV, or JSON.
