Smooth Capture

Smooth Capture is a screen recording and editing app for Mac built for mobile developers and indie makers who need polished demo and App Store preview videos without a full video-editing background. It records a Mac window, a screen region, an iPhone or iPad over USB, or an iOS Simulator session directly into one project file.

Beyond capture, it includes a timeline editor for trimming, splitting, reordering, and combining takes; smart and manual zoom for highlighting key steps; cursor smoothing and keystroke overlays; 2D and 3D device frames with lighting and reflections; customizable backgrounds and aspect ratios for different channels; and caption generation with an editable transcript. Finished videos export as MP4, MOV, GIF, or transparent ProRes, either saved locally or published straight to Cloudflare R2 or AWS S3.
