SnapShelf

SnapShelf is a Mac-native file shelf app for anyone tired of hunting through Finder for the screenshot or download they just created. Press a global shortcut and SnapShelf opens a visual grid of your most recent screenshots, downloads, and active files right over whatever app you're working in, so you can grab what you need and get back to work.

The app watches a folder you choose (Desktop, Downloads, or your screenshots folder) and lets you filter by file type—images, videos, audio, PDFs, documents, code, design files, archives, and fonts. From there you can Quick Look preview files, pin important ones, rename with templates, multi-select for batch save or delete, and drag files straight into apps like Slack, Mail, Figma, or Xcode. Full keyboard navigation keeps the whole workflow off the mouse.

SnapShelf runs natively on macOS 14 Sonoma or later (Apple silicon and Intel), is Apple-notarized, and processes everything locally with no account, cloud sync, or subscription. It's a one-time $4.99 purchase that unlocks the complete 1.x release.
