Switchback

Switchback is a macOS productivity app for people who want familiar Windows Explorer workflows without giving up Finder. It adds features inside Finder, so your files stay where they are and there’s no new file manager to learn.

Browse nested folders in a sidebar, type or paste paths, track and pause supported copies, and inspect app activity in a Task Manager built into Force Quit. Switchback also offers expanded right-click actions, window snapping, a window switcher, Dock previews, and other optional controls. It runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 13 or later. A 14-day free trial is available; the site lists a one-time price of $24.99 for one Mac, with additional Macs for $8.99 each and no subscription.
